Cosmic Paragon

Chapter 37: Zack’s resentment!

This one statement instantly shut the mouths of several students that had been bristling with righteous indignation.

It was true, a thousand years ago there was no such thing as magic energy or magic powers.

At that time anything related to magic powers were simply treated as supernatural powers from fiction and anybody that did anything supernatural would either be taken as a prophet or a clown performing.

At that time natural disasters were terribly feared and there were so many illnesses and conditions like cancer, malaria, HIV/Aids and others like the viral diseases. Some were even deemed as death sentences since they were incurable.

But now thanks to magic power and advancement in technology all those illnesses no longer plagued humanity now there were no deaths from cancer, no worries from malaria, no HIV/AIDS that could not be handled.

Even though there were more terrifying conditions these days than there were in the past, they did not just affect anybody unless you were to be actively infected with them and even most of these conditions could be handled.

All this would not have been possible if it were not for that one decision by that mad scientist. His decision made it possible for humanity to advance so much.

"The reason I’m telling you this is because I want you to understand that not just science, but everything in life requires risks. Risks that may end up leading to dire sacrifices and these sacrifices may defame you, but don’t let the fear of these consequences keep you from making decisions.

The decisions you make may have risks but they may birth wonderful results, results that could cause massive strides in human history and create great things. But, you must be willing to take risks.

I’m not saying to not be cautious but don’t let that stop you from taking that leap of faith."
