Chapter 21: You are mages, Write like mages!
Crack!
The sound of yet another student breaking their pen echoed through the silent hall. This student wrinkled his eyebrow with clenched teeth, It was clear he was having a hard time. He hastily threw the broken pen away and took up another one, resuming his exam.
The exam hall was completely silent except for the sounds of scribbling pens and some haggard breathing. Practically every single person in the hall had wrinkled eyebrows and scowls on their faces. Some were so nervous they were even shedding tears.
Several students whose Mathematics ability was already very poor to begin with kept thinking No, cant solve this! Pass! Ill come back later! No! Pass! Pass! Fuck goddamnit! How the hell do I prove this? They were already on the brink of collapse with their bloodshot eyes.
Not even Drake was free, he also faced his own torment and today he finally realized why JAMB exams was so fucking hard back in ancient Africa. It wasnt that he did not have the answers to the damn questions, its just that time was way too damn short.
It was the same number of questions they had to answer back then that he had to do now he even had twice the time the people back then did, lets not forget the advantages of a mages sharp mind and writing speed. Yet, even with all this there was still not enough time.
With thirty minutes left to go, he was writing at break neck speed and sweat dripped from his forehead as he thought. Hurry, hurry, hurry. I cant waste too much time on this problem. Need to move faster.
...
Time would soon be up and no one had finished solving. At this time, the old man returned this time with two teenagers pushing a large table with something on it, however the test takers couldnt see what it was.
