Chapter 13: Apocalypse on Earth
Only two main quests had been given by the world since the apocalypse began.
Main quests referred to a general quest that everyone in a certain region had to follow or could participate in. Meaning, everyone would be alerted about this quest.
But within the main quest, there were different quests that were sub-family to it.
One of those being the Private quest. This is when the world offers you a chance to earn big by giving you a quest only you can complete.
That was the quest Veronica got.
According to what she told Jayhan, right after she split off from the main group to come look for him, the quest showed up, urging her to give the video game to him.
Reasons as to why that is? No one knew at the time, but this only further solidified Jayhan's theory about the perpetrator of Earth's destruction.
"But why me though..." Jayhan thought to himself while standing in the middle of the store.
Both Kara and Veronica had gone toward the back of the convenience store to check if there was anything useful they could find, like bullets for the gun they took from the man who tried to kill them a few moments ago.
That left Jayhan alone by himself in the store.
In order not to draw attention from outside, he switched off the bulbs, allowing the moon to be the only source of light before he locked the door.
