Chapter 254: Naked?
Standing in front of the door, Brandon raised his hand and gave a firm knock. "Sister Yve..."
There was a brief pause and then he heard the faint thud of footsteps from within as the door creaked open.
Yverine stood there with one hand rubbing at her eyes, the other loosely gripping the door handle.
She wore a black tank top and grey shorts and her toned abdomen was barely visible in the narrow gap where the fabric didn’t quite meet.
She blinked at him with bleary eyes before giving a small nod "Oh... you’re back. Come in."
Brandon stepped inside and closed the door behind him.
The room’s air was cool, and a mellow song played from the TV in the corner.
He turned toward her with a dry smile "You’re sleeping in the afternoon now?"
Yverine let out a long, exaggerated yawn, stretching her arms above her head before flopping face-first onto the bed with a muffled grunt.
"We did spar for like four hours straight yesterday," she mumbled into the pillow. "And someone kept pushing me until I couldn’t feel my legs."
Brandon chuckled under his breath and walked over, sitting on the edge of her bed as the mattress dipped slightly under his weight.
He looked down at her and his gaze softening as he reached out and gently brushed aside a lock of hair that had fallen into her face.
