The afternoon sun spilled soft golden rays across the streets as Brandon and Yverine walked together toward the theater.
It wasn’t too far from their hotel, but even in the afternoon, the place buzzed with people.
Couples, families, and groups of friends crowded the entrance, chatting in French while waiting for their turn.
Brandon held his phone in one hand, scrolling through the online confirmation "Looks like it’s a bit crowded today..."
Yverine glanced at the gathering of people without much reaction. "It’s the weekend. That’s expected."
They stepped through the front doors into the lobby, where the chatter grew louder.
The air smelled of freshly popped popcorn, sweet crepes, and the faint hint of coffee from a nearby vending stall.
Brandon walked through the line of people, showing the QR code on his phone to the attendant.
The attendant scanned it with a quick beep, then nodded, handing them a printed receipt "Salle trois. Profitez du film, Le Dernier Sérénade."
Brandon glanced back at Yverine "Alright, we’re all set."
She gave a faint nod and asked "Did you understand what she said."
Brandon gave her a blank stare and shook his head with a dry smile "Nope, I don’t know French."
