Chapter 191: In the Sea
The air was rich with the comforting scents of freshly poured warm milk, golden-brown toast slathered with butter, and a lavish spread of scrambled eggs flecked with herbs, crispy bacon, and a bowl of ripe strawberries.
Brandon, sitting at the dinner table, cut into the eggs with a fork as he savored the meal.
His thoughts drifted briefly to the conversation they’d had earlier and a quiet tension lingered in his heart.
The soft creak of the stairs drew his attention, and he glanced up to see Ravene descending.
Ravene approached the table, her lips curving into a teasing smile as she slid onto Brandon’s lap, her thighs straddling his.
The sudden weight made him chuckle and his fork paused mid-air as he wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her closer "Couldn’t stay away, huh, Rave?" he murmured as he leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to her lips.
Ravene giggled, her arms looping around his neck as she deepened the kiss.
