Chapter 103: Getting her to sleep...
The hot spring’s glow enveloped Brandon and Eira as they lay tangled in the shallow water, the steam curling around them.
Eira’s head rested on Brandon’s chest, and his arm around her shoulders held her close, his lips brushing her temple in a tender kiss.
"Mm... we should probably move," Eira murmured after a while, her voice soft and sleepy.
Brandon slowly sat up and pulled her with him.
The water sloshed around them, and Eira stretched languidly, her body glistening as she rose, the glow of the pool catching the curves of her skin.
"C’mon," she said, splashing a handful of water at him with a mischievous glint in her eyes.
"Let’s play a bit before we get out." She dove forward, slipping deeper into the pool with a soft laugh as she glided through the water.
Brandon smiled, following her lead, and soon they were splashing and chasing each other, their laughter echoing through the courtyard.
Eira ducked under the surface, popping up behind him to flick water at his face, and he retaliated by grabbing her waist, pulling her close to dunk her playfully, both of them giggling like kids.
"Cheater!" she accused, wriggling in his grip, but she had a wide smile and her hands slid up his chest as she leaned in to steal a quick kiss.
Eira’s fingers tangled in his wet hair, tugging lightly, while Brandon’s hands roamed her back, tracing the curve of her spine.
