Brandon exhaled slowly and tapped his fingers again on the armrest of the gilded chair.
"I was pulled into this..." he gestured vaguely to the surroundings...
"...without warning. No one asked if I wanted this role. And I get it; you all think I’m some divine vessel."
The women listened silently and none dared to interrupt.
"I’m not saying I’ll walk away but I will try my best to fit into this role..."
His eyes met Eleonore’s, "I’ll listen and learn."

Then Eleonore slowly inclined her head. "Understood, Lord Herald. We will walk at your pace."
Geneviève, one of the Triarchs spoke "However, Lord Herald... your presence does shift the entire foundation of the Church’s structure. There will be resistance. Not all will accept you."
