Brandon had barely settled into bed when a sudden knock on his door echoed through the room.
’Who is it now?’
Letting out a quiet sigh, he pushed the blanket off his body and sat up, rubbing his temple as he swung his legs over the side of the bed.
He walked to the door and with a light pull, the wooden door creaked open, revealing a familiar face standing just outside.
Hm?
Looking at Charlotte, he mumbled "Big Sister?"
Charlotte gave a small nod, as she extended her hand toward him.
In her palm there is a sleek, black device... an encrypted phone.
"Here. Through this, you can make encrypted calls. Big Sister is in line."
Brandon’s eyes flickered to the device in her hand before shifting back to her face.
A small smile tugged at the corner of his lips as he reached out and took the phone from her hand.
