Chapter 72: A reward?
Brandon stepped out of the car and took a deep breath as his eyes landed on the house in front of him.
The moment he pushed the door open, a familiar presence rushed toward him.
"Kael!"
Ravene’s voice was filled with concern, and before he could react, her warm hands cupped his face, tilting it slightly as she looked at his face.
Her brows furrowed as she looked at his appearance... his tattered shirt, the remnants of bloodstains still clinging to the fabric, and the faint cuts that hadn’t fully faded despite the healing potion.
"Seems like you had a rough day in the dungeon."
She let out a soft sigh and pulled him into a hug, burying her face against his chest.
Brandon’s body relaxed into her warmth as he wrapped his arms around her.
"Where is Aunt Elize."
"She went outside for a bit of grocery shopping..."
"Mhm."
