Chapter 943 - 944: Lofvis’s Contract
Immediately, Wen Wen’s expression turned serious as he initiated the Cataclysm Prison state and took out an ancient book, which was Lofvis’s Rune Book.
Within the Sanctuary, Wen Wen possessed Catastrophe-Level strength and did not have to worry about being contaminated by Lofvis’s will through the Rune Book, thus enabling him to communicate with the other side to an extent.
"Hey, Silly, are you there?"
In the Inner World’s Pale Forest, Lofvis was dozing on the ground. Upon hearing the message, he immediately turned over, a hint of anger emerging in his expression.
"It’s you again, you despicable fellow. Speak, what do you want this time?"
During his cultivation, Wen Wen had delved deep into this Rune Book, thus having a few communications with the ’God of Runes’ Lofvis on the other side.
Most of those communications were meaningless verbal spats. Wen Wen simply wanted to indulge in the thrill of verbally sparring with a Catastrophe-Level expert, knowing the other side couldn’t retort.
Yet, through these verbal duels, Wen Wen also gleaned Lofvis’s desires.
Lofvis was desperate to come to the real world, not for slaughter and conquest, but simply to find a place to live peacefully.
In the Inner World, he was basically the punching bag for other Star Realm Gods, and his followers were all mentally challenged, leaving him with no one to chat with to relieve his boredom. Even verbal spats with Wen Wen were among his few entertainments.
Lofvis sounded like a peace-seeking Catastrophe-Level being, but Wen Wen didn’t believe a word of it.
He still remembered how Lofvis’s two attempts to interfere with reality led to irreversible tragedies.
