Catastrophe Containment Facility

Tao Qingqing cleared her thoughts and said to Wen Wen:

"The murders that occurred here, though they seem reasonable, still have many unexplained aspects."

"The first is that even though the murder rate is incredibly high in this place, it still hasn’t attracted the attention of local authorities; everyone thinks they are just accidents."

"The second point of suspicion is that all the cases have one thing in common: the victims’ families are all out of town. I think the murderer’s idea might be to kill people to bring the families back to the town for mourning, and then catch them all at once."

"The third is about the timing; everything started from the appearance of the Endless Stairs. I suspect that the root of everything lies with the Endless Stairs!"

Tao Qingqing cleared her throat and, looking at Wen Wen with some anticipation, said:

"If all my thoughts hold true, then the murderer’s target should be all the town’s residents, even those not currently living in this town."

"Why target all the town’s residents? The first possibility is that it’s a sacrifice targeting special bloodlines, but the population of Tian Family Town is actually quite mixed. The second is that this is an act of revenge, aimed at everyone in the entire town!"

A strange light flashed in Wen Wen’s eyes, and then he said to Tao Qingqing, "All you’re saying is your conjecture. Come talk to me about your deductions after finding some evidence."

Having said that, he lay down on the bed, turned on the TV, and started watching a boring soap opera.

Tao Qingqing felt somewhat aggrieved. She had thought hard about these things, hoping to earn Wen Wen’s praise, but never expected to be dismissed with just a comment.
