Chapter 81: Rewards
I think enough time was probably wasted here for the time being... I’ve got rewards from the king to collect so it would be best to do that before we leave.
I don’t think we’ve figured out where we are going from here though, especially since we’ve got the leader of this continent with us. After I get what I need from the king I’ll have to ask her what she thinks is the best path for us to take next.
"Before we leave the kingdom I have to collect my rewards from the king." Artemis speaks up.
Everyone seems to be shocked but Isabel since she knew what happened yesterday when they met. There was a lot of blood shed in such a short span of time that anyone would be shocked.
Not that they know of all the blood that was spilled in the streets of Theos.
"Why would you have rewards from the king?" Shimada asks before anyone else can. A curious look in his eyes as he stares directly at Artemis.
"I saved his life yesterday when I was searching for Isabel. It was a busy day after everyone went to sleep." Artemis responds with a relaxed tone in his voice.
The only thing I remember is that Shimada doesn’t like the king of Theos very much but he’s old and probably won’t be king forever. Regardless of how shimada feels about him I couldn’t just let him die to a bunch of assassins.
If it was something that happened when I wasn’t around then it’s a different story but I was here and the main reason they went for him instead. Even if he was a target anyway, Isabel was the one they went for first.
