Chapter 65: Fight or Die (1)
An army of footsteps can be heard rushing towards them in the distance as Artemis tries to think of what to say. Heavily armored men wearing a completely different insignia from what the cult of Nyxoria bares are getting closer and closer.
I don’t know what’s going on right now but I can hear people rushing towards us, probably the others that are hunting her down. She can’t die from anyone I’d presume so it’s best to keep my promise now.
"I’ll happily find a way to answer that after you come with me." Artemis says while staring past her.
I can see the men who are coming for her in the distance so there isn’t much time for me to try to give her a real answer. Isabel stands there silently as she thinks about if she wants to trust him or not.
This girl was the same girl who brought about the brutal awakening in Helfri after her family was slaughtered, why does she seem so different?
That was a thought that seems to pass through artemis’s mind quite a bit as he waits for her to answer.
But before she can speak a sword comes swinging down towards her from behind— Artemis doesn’t hesitate to run past her and block the sword with his own as the metallic clanging echoes off the walls of the buildings.
"Believe me now?" He asks while holding back one of the attackers.
Seeing is believe they say, but I’m not sure she’s as brutal as the stories say or else she would’ve did something by now right? I’d say she seems like the exact opposite of everything I’ve heard thus far.
