Chapter 48: Who are We Looking for?
Her name is still unknown to me, something that I don’t even know if she’ll ever give to me as time goes on. It would be nice to have something to refer to her as instead of just this girl who speaks to me.
Maybe it’s not that important to focus on right now so it’s best to focus on what we are trying to do here. Finding the important person to wipe out is the priority at hand at least.
To think that this is what I’m going to dedicate my life to is kind of sad, but it’s also the best thing I can do to make sure it’ll never happen again. No families deserve to go through what me and Amelia did— Even if there are cruel families out there, I wouldn’t wish it on them.
"That spell definitely seems strong, will it keep out the stronger enemies that lurk here?" Artemis asks with a bit of concern.
My brain keeps cycling between everything lately and it probably has to do with the fact that I’ve been able to die without the worry of it being permanent. I fear death still, even if I can come back from it every time.
Having to watch people close to me die has left quite the burden on me after everything happened. I thought that it would just disappear since everyone is alive now but it’s eating away at me.
"We’ll be fine, we have a strong party." Liora reassures him.
Flashes of the gruesome events play back in his head after she says that, reminding him that they died to mere soldiers not that long ago.
His hand grasping his head before he leans back against the wall. "Yeah, we’ll be fine." Artemis agrees as he tries to calm himself down.
