Reborn; A Slave to the World

Chapter 16: The Goddess of Death

Shimada was quite shocked by what Artemis just told him but it wasn't anything surprising to him. "The Group worships the goddess of death and believe that killing royalty will give them eternal wealth. It's also a way of eliminating the wealthy in the world too. It contradicts a lot with the two meanings but they don't care." Shimada explains a bit.

A group killing the wealthy for their own gain but with the sole purpose of getting rid of the wealthy, what the hell kind of shit is that?

"I don't think that's the sole goal. Revival of the Goddess of death is the main goal. No one knows how it's done yet but we know it's something they've been trying to do." Shimada continues on.

Reviving a goddess of death doesn't sound like the greatest thing to do, so what will that do for the world exactly is the question I have. I mean there's not much to think about when it comes to death since it kind of explains itself.

"We don't want that to happen I presume." Artemis speaks while keeping a serious tone.

Shimada nods. "The Goddess of death was the one God that didn't get a chance to be on the board that helps with giving people their gifts." Shimada explains.

She wasn't given the chance to help with deciding such important things, no wonder she's relying on her followers to help bring her back. There must've been a good reason for her to be off of the board, otherwise she wouldn't be in this predicament.

So basically a cult of worshippers that just want to kill off Royalty and who want to resurrect the goddess of death. I have a hard time understanding such a thing since I've heard of groups with way worse intentions in my previous life.

Like people starting wars or taking over the world kind of goals. Not that this isn't a big thing to be concerned about.
