Chapter 10: Origin core
In a quiet room, Kaal was repeatedly punching the air in the same motion, over and over. After a while, he paused and stared at his hand.
"Nothing is happening... Does it only activate during battle?" he muttered.
Then the condition for this ability must be that it only activates in combat... and it seems to predict the trajectory of projectile weapons, Kaal thought.
During his duel with Lauren, he was able to predict her attack patterns and effortlessly deflect them using just the tip of his sword. It was as if time had slowed down, and from Lauren's sword, he could see several red Qi lines in the air—paths her sword always followed.
Kaal knew the reason behind this. It happened because of the Green Bead Seed. When Lauren's movements slowed in his eyes, he felt a sharp pain in his heart, right where the Seed was embedded. In that moment, he was able to read the path of her sword with uncanny clarity.
"Soul treasures always have mysterious abilities... And now that this Seed has revealed its own, I'll name it Mind Eye," Kaal said to himself, recognizing its power to perceive an opponent's movements.
The changes in my body only began after I started cultivating the [Myriad of Thousand Demon Body] technique, which I received from the Origin Core... I'll call the Green Bead Seed a part of the Origin Core itself, Kaal concluded in his mind.
His thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a tremor that shook the spirit ship. A moment later, Jane entered and informed him that they had landed at the Kilvish Clan's Spirit Ship Base.
As Kaal stepped out, he noticed Lauren and Elder Alvin already heading off to their respective areas.
