Damn The Author

Chapter 2: Awakening[1]

The next moment, I woke up.

"Argh... it hurts."

No, scratch that. Hurt doesn't even cover the surface.

The pain in my head felt unbearable, like I had been taking backshots by a truck at full speed.

"Ugh!"

A light groan slipped past my lips as I opened my eyes.

That had to be a dream, no more like a full-blown nightmare.

As the light entered my eyes, I hoped to find myself in my bed, wrapped in sheets... but the situation around me felt completely different.

I felt a slight tingle on my back as if my sixth sense was warning me. The cold sensation of the metallic bench seeped into my legs.

My eyes lingered across the space.

My vision was still blurry, hardly giving me any visibility. But I could hear the chatter of the people. Except for vision, all of my senses seemed to be working completely fine.
