"There’s a pressing crisis, and the Federation has its hands full with other matters. This particular issue falls within the Adventurer’s Guild’s jurisdiction, but it’s been extremely difficult to get to the heart of the matter."
He picked up a cubic object and held it in his palms.
"To make things worse, the tier of Adventurers that the Guild has available are very few. And the small number shows no interest in participating in the subjugation—which is understandable. It offers little reward and demands tremendous effort. Plus, the circumstances are strange and uninvestigated. The matter is simply too perilous for Adventurers."
Lucien waited, listening to him.
The Guildmaster looked straight into his eyes.
"The Goblin Infestation in the west is a quest that’s been designated Tier 3, after lower tiers have tried and failed. I’m making a special request—due to your stellar reputation—if you could attempt to eradicate the Goblins terrorizing the west coast. Of course, this isn’t compulsory; you have the right to refuse."
Lucien was silent for a while.
