Evolution Online: I Can Fuse With All Things

Chapter 55: Journey To The Rhamiran Federation

From Thelvaine, they entered Thornveil, which led them straight to the outskirts of The Rhamiran Federation.

This journey took a few in-game days, and Lucien had to log out multiple times to handle different tasks at various times. The primary reason was that he couldn’t use more than fifteen hours consecutively.

During his logged-out hours, he went to the gym where he’d enrolled for a martial arts class. Many people these days had established such places, preaching about how crucial it was to strengthen your body to become powerful in the game.

Of course, many people saw this as ponzi schemes—a way for people to market their gyms. But Lucien thought differently; he wanted to learn martial arts and train his body, hoping any of it would help.

It was the gem he’d found. But it was easier said than done. The first day left every fiber of his muscles, especially his arms and shoulders, feeling insanely heavy.

After that, he logged in and spent another four days on the road, making it a total of eight days traversing the entirety of Thornveil—a mystical and labyrinthine forest, the second largest in the whole Western Continent.

Throughout his journey, he was constantly grinding and trying to level up, but that had become much more difficult. His situation worsened after killing a level 120 Guardian rank; now, it was difficult for Normal ranks, Elite ranks, and Boss ranks to satisfy the hunger of his fusion points—and that was all he was encountering since he left Mist of the Forgotten.

He did manage to level up three times, though—with eight days of relentless grinding.

He was finally standing at the forest’s edge, a stone’s throw away from the colossal walls that barricaded the Rhamiran Federation.

Lucien stared from the tall tree on the cliff where he stood—he could see a backdrop of roofs behind the walls. His eyes were razor-sharp; the walls were a kilometer away, and he could see people walking into the city as the city guards stopped them, searched them, and demanded something from them.

Lucien exhaled and then looked at Gayanna, who was sitting on one of the tree’s branches, dangling her long, slender legs.
