Chapter 17: Great Player
Lucien roamed the entire Dungeon like a starved zombie. First, he retrieved the Forsaken Sword, then he began searching every nook and cranny for the wolves.
His method was quite sneaky and resourceful. He drank more potions and refilled his health, then he would lurk in the shadows because [Predator's Instincts] let him detect practically all the monsters around.
Not every monster could hide their killing intent like White Steel—some constantly leaked it. And those kinds were very easy to find. They were scattered throughout the Dungeon.
Lucien entered the depths of the tunnels, killing every single one of them, taking damage too, but he still had over twenty potions.
Even though it was difficult to use potions mid-fight, he never failed to use them after killing each monster. After all, he couldn't just ask the wolf to wait a few seconds while he drank some potions—he pretty much would have been sliced in the throat in that time.
After a while, Lucien pushed open the Boss room door and slowly walked inside. Blood stained his face and pumpkin armor all over, some parts already dried to a rusty brown.
He made his way back to the dying Dungeon Boss and sat next to it. Lucien gently rubbed the Wolf's white fur.
"You know... I was worried for a moment that you might die."
He patted the wolf and smiled.
