Chapter 29: Board Member Caught
Logan started reading through the first stage of the Flaming Body once again. This time, he didn't skim through it and made sure to read every single line on the page.
'So I'm supposed to let my fire mana burn within my body,' Logan thought. 'It says here that it'll cause extreme pain until my body's resistance to fire is high enough.'
'Haven't I pretty much already done this?' Logan wondered. 'During my breakthrough, my fire mana went through my entire body and improved it.'
'I guess I haven't done it actively or just within my control in general.'
Walking to his training room, Logan sat down cross-legged in the center.
'I'll try to mimic the feeling I had during my breakthrough,' he decided. 'But this time I have to contain it so nothing leaks to the outside.'
He knew the last part would be the difficult part. He didn't think his control was good enough to keep everything within his body. But that didn't mean he wouldn't try.
'I have to train my control one way or another,' Logan thought, smiling. 'This could be considered swatting two flies in one go.'
Concentrating, Logan focused on his affinity.
He let the mana flow through the regular mana channels in his body. From there, Logan focused, pushing the mana out of their channels and letting it spread through his body.
The mana went through his veins first, causing his skin to glow with a faint red light. Only feeling a slight ache, Logan pushed through and guided the mana into his muscles. This time, Logan felt his muscles tense up and fully energized.
