Chapter 39: Off We Go
Ms. Cole explained the basics of our mission as best she could. She went on to tell us all the necessary information about this world, emphasizing that it was a medieval-class world.
Worlds were classified into six categories based strictly on their technological level of development: Medieval-Class World, Industrial-Class World, Post-Apocalyptic-Class World, Modern-Class World, Futuristic-Class World, and Mythic-Class World. All of these different types of worlds were still considered dungeons.
While she was explaining, Amelia interrupted with a question.
"Will we be the only class going on this mission?"
"Yes," she answered. "The other classes will have their own special missions."
Tension hung in the air; for weeks, our teachers had been preparing us with all the information we needed, but it was still hard to grasp.
"Now for the important part," Ms. Cole said, maintaining her eerie tone. "Your class will be leaving three days from now. I’ll be accompanying you to ensure you accomplish your mission. You’ll receive more important information upon your arrival."
She then went on to discuss the essential items we would need, such as food rations, clothes, and other necessities.
After she left, we all gathered together to discuss. Amelia quickly took center stage in the class.
"I know you are all worried about what our teacher said, but as she mentioned, we are doing this as a class, so there is no need to worry about anything."
Hikari joined her in calming everyone down.
