Chapter 11: Miss Oopsie Daisy
Her pale skin made me question my rationale for a moment. Looking at her, I couldn’t tell if she was human or a ghost. She had white hair, skin as pale as snow, and her eyes were a deep shade of purple. She wore a dark cloak, black leggings, and a purple skirt over it.
"Please don’t hurt me," she said, her voice soft and timid. She was trembling like a wet rat.
"Who are you?"
"My hero name is Luna, but I’m not part of any faction." She spoke quickly, waving her hands frantically.
Faction? What is she talking about?
"I-I only came here because I didn’t want to bother anyone. I didn’t mean any harm to you. I just wanted—" She was speaking so fast that I couldn’t understand a word she was saying. "Can you please—"
"Shut up!"
She flinched. But just when I thought I had snapped her out of her nonsense, a puddle began to form around my feet. I looked down to see it was urine.
What in the hell?!
Her face turned beet red, and before I could utter a word, she passed out. I was dumbfounded, to say the least. Awkward situations seemed to follow me wherever I went. So much had happened in the span of a few minutes that it took me a while to process everything.
As it was getting dark, I decided to carry her unconscious body inside the cave. After searching for some firewood and bringing it back, I used my newly acquired attribute—fire essence—to light a fire to keep us warm.
