"Mary. I always mark my words." Jack said, shaking the phone with a triumphant grin. "Now we just wait and see if she bites!"
"What, you actually texted her?" Nick was stunned. "Jack, are you serious? If she goes public with this or reports it to the cops, we’re screwed."
Jack had used Nick’s phone to send the message, so if Mary found out, Nick would be in deep trouble.
"Relax, she won’t spread it around."
At that moment, Mary was in a meeting with some subordinates in the office.
