Chapter 84 - 83 kinship
"Forget it, I’m not interested in that," Jack declined.
After chatting for a while, they got ready to go back to work. Nick stopped him, "Oh, don’t forget to come to my house tomorrow. My mom has mentioned you several times. If you don’t come, I’ll be in big trouble."
"I’ll definitely be there!" Jack promised, but he was feeling more conflicted than ever. On one hand, he was getting more and more infatuated with Kay’s body, but on the other hand, he felt guilty towards Nick.
And then there was Emily. If she found out about his interactions with Kay, she’d probably be furious.
When he finished work that evening, Jack was still unsure of what to do, so instead of going straight home, he wandered the streets. He walked until it was almost dark before heading back. Just as he was about to reach his place, Jack unexpectedly ran into Emily.
Seeing Jack, Emily asked, "Jack, it’s late now, why haven’t you come home yet?"
Emily was in a cute short skirt and t-shirt, looking like she was out for a leisurely stroll too.
"Emily, I was just out for a walk, heading back now. What about you?" Jack said.
"I didn’t have any plans for the evening, so I came out for a walk," Emily smiled. "By the way, is your place nearby?"
"Yeah, my apartment’s just over there."
"In that case, can I come over and take a look?"
