Chapter 17 Unexpected Ride
**Emily’s** words hit **Jack** like a cold shower, totally killing his vibe.
Thanks to **Eva**, he used to think women were easy to win over.
But now, he finally got it—he was dead wrong.
"Alright, see you tomorrow," **Jack** said politely, getting ready to leave.
Just then, a car pulled up in front of **Emily**. A well-dressed guy stepped out, grinning, "**Emily**? Need a ride? How about I give you a lift?"
**Emily** knew the guy—Hunter Harris, a colleague from another department.
He used to work somewhere else but got caught hanging out with models and had to quit. Now, he was at their company.
**Emily** couldn’t stand him. She took a step back. "No thanks, I’m waiting for someone."
"Waiting for someone? A guy, right?" Hunter didn’t back off. Instead, he got closer with a sleazy smile. "I heard your husband’s been away for a while. If you’re feeling lonely, I’m here for you."
"Get lost!" **Emily** snapped, her face turning red with anger, her chest heaving, catching Hunter’s eye.
He’d just started at the company and had his sights set on **Emily**, fantasizing about getting her alone. **Jack** hadn’t left yet. Seeing Hunter’s behavior, he was pissed. He stepped between them. "Mr. Harris, she’s waiting for me. Mind your own business."
