She hadn’t even typed anything yet. Just stared at the blinking cursor like it might write something for her. Something flirty, maybe. Or casual. Or safe.

He tilted his head, red eyes flickering with amusement. "Good evening, my love," he said in that dry, velvet voice of his. "Did you miss me?"

He didn’t let her finish.
He kissed her.
