Primordial Heir: Nine Stars

Chapter 56: Prelude to their Clash

With a flick of her wrist, she unleashed a barrage of wind arrows, each one aimed with pinpoint accuracy. Adam raised his warhammer, deflecting the arrows as they rained down on him. The sound of arrows clashing against metal echoed through the arena, and he focused, channeling the gravitation to create a small shield of earth in front of him.

The air crackled with energy as the two continued their fierce exchange, each pushing the limits of their abilities. Adam was relentless, using the earth to create spikes that shot up toward Azalea, while she danced around them, her movements elegant and fluid.

"Come on, Adam! You can do better!" she urged, her voice playful yet competitive.

"Don’t count me out yet!" he shot back, his determination unwavering. With a final surge of energy, he slammed his hammer into the ground, sending a shockwave that threw Azalea off balance for just a moment.

Seizing the opportunity, Adam charged forward, ready to strike. But Azalea, quick on her feet, summoned a whirlwind, her body spinning effortlessly as she evaded his approach. The wind swirled around her, forming a protective barrier that deflected Adam’s next attack.

As the fight intensified, both combatants were pushed to their limits. Adam’s muscles ached, and Azalea’s breaths were coming in quick bursts, but neither was willing to back down.

In a final effort, they simultaneously unleashed their powers. Adam raised his warhammer one last time, channeling all the gravitation he could muster to create a massive shockwave. At the same moment, Azalea drew back her bow, releasing a concentrated arrow of wind that expanded into a massive gust.

The two forces collided with a deafening roar, sending a shockwave across the arena. Dust and debris filled the air, obscuring the view as the arena trembled beneath the power of their abilities.

When the dust finally settled, both Adam and Azalea stood at opposite ends of the arena, breathing heavily, their weapons still raised but their energy nearly depleted. They exchanged glances, both recognizing the effort and skill they had displayed.
