Primordial Heir: Nine Stars

Chapter 48: Magic Class Drill

Meanwhile, in another part of the academy, the Mage class was diligently engaged in their morning drill, led by their instructor, Melinda. The training yard was illuminated by the soft glow of dawn, creating a serene atmosphere perfect for enhancing their magical abilities. As the students assembled, the air was filled with a blend of anticipation and determination.

Lux, with striking silver hair blending in the morning sunset, playfully dragged his half-asleep friend Blake into the gathering.

"Come on, Blake! You can’t sleep through this! We’ve got a drill to do!" he urged, his voice a mix of excitement and urgency. Blake groaned, rubbing his eyes, but Lux’s energy was contagious, and he managed to shake off the drowsiness as they joined their classmates.

Melinda stood at the front, her presence commanding yet encouraging.

"Good morning, everyone! Today, we’ll focus on building both physical strength and refining our magical abilities," she announced.

"It’s crucial for us as mages to maintain our physical fitness to support our magical prowess. Yesterday, I’ve already explained the importance of having a good physique. Without further ado let’s us begin!"

The drill commenced with a series of physical conditioning exercises designed to enhance their strength and endurance. The mage cadets began with dynamic stretches and warm-up routines, moving through jumping jacks, lunges, and push-ups. Blake, now more awake, pushed himself alongside Lux, who motivated him with friendly shouts and laughter. He knew the latter wouldn’t stop bothering him if didn’t do it. The camaraderie among the mages was palpable, creating an uplifting atmosphere as they worked together to challenge their limits.

After the physical warm-up, Melinda gathered them for a breathing exercise, emphasizing its importance in both combat and spellcasting.

"Close your eyes and focus on your breath," she instructed. "Inhale deeply through your nose, hold it for a moment, and then exhale slowly through your mouth. Feel the Prana within you and let it flow."

As they practiced, the mage cadets synchronized their breathing, creating a calm and focused ambiance. Blake felt the tension in his body start to release as he inhaled deeply, visualizing the energy circulating through him. Truth be told he may appear most of the time but when it comes magic, he would become another person, after all he truly loved it.

The soothing rhythm helped center their minds, preparing them for the magical focus ahead.
