"What are you doing here with our slave?" Damon was the first to speak and I felt a hot wave of embarrassment at being referred to as that.
Hugo didn’t seem deterred at all, instead, he rolled his eyes and tugged me closer into his side.
"I was taking a pleasant walk with this gorgeous woman before you all interrupted us." He responded smoothly and my stomach swooped a little.
"Well, she’s our slave, we didn’t give her permission to take walks." Landon snapped and I rolled my eyes in irritation, hating the sight of their scowls right now.
How dare they feel angry right now??
"I don’t remember when maids have to get permission to go on walks right now." Hugo drawled and Angelo snorted as he stepped closer.
"Didn’t we ask you to stay away from her, Hugo?" Angelo asked and Hugo rolled his eyes as he stepped even closer.
"You asked me to stay away from your mate, but apparently you don’t plan to get married to her any longer. Now, she’s just your slave, isn’t she? So, you have no right to ask me to stay away from her." He responded in a sharp voice.
I could feel the princes gazed on me, and I completely avoided their gazes, choosing to act like I wasn’t here right now. However, I could already tell I’d still have to answer to them later.
