Chapter 25: Trapped

I watched as a flush slowly rose up our mate’s throat and over her face. Angelo still had her face tilted up, and her eyes were blown so wide, it was clear that she never expected that. Angelo was an enigma, he could be playing around right now but in the next moment, he could change into the most menacing person you’ve ever come across.
After all, he’s not the most feared amongst the three of us for nothing.
"Do you understand?" He continued, his lips still pressed against our mate’s ear.
Sue’s throat moved as she swallowed. My eyes dragged over the long curve of that delectable looking throat, and to the curve where I’d like to sink my teeth into. How would her skin taste? Like milk? She looked as pale as snow, so it’s safe to imagine she might taste like milk.
I shook my head and tried to shove those thoughts away from my head, while asking myself why I was thinking about such ridiculous thoughts. But it was harder to not think about that again, especially after thinking about it once, and because her throat was so close to my face right now, and a urge within me was pushing me to lean forward and bury my face In that exposed curve, or to reach with my second hand to wrap my hand around that throat.
This time, I was helped out from my thoughts by Landon’s voice, which pierced through the haze around my mind.
"Use your word, mate,"
"I- I don’t..." Sue began to speak, but she ended up trailing off to let out a stuttered breath when the grip in her hair clearly tightened.
"You’ll not let another kiss you or put their hands on you again. Do you understand?" Landon continued as he stepped this time, then he did what I had been thinking of doing for the past few minutes.
He wrapped his long fingers around her throat.
