The Cursed Triplet Alphas' Fated Mate

Chapter 15: Disbelief

Sue’s pov

I remained in place even after Damon walked away, and my mind circled back to the moment we shared with the Queen. It was clear that he didn’t like her, but the Queen had been unfazed, like she was used to such coldness from him. I didn’t know what to make of that, but even without him giving me that warning, I’d be the last person to be stupid enough to let anyone sink their claw into me.

I let out a long breath before glancing around and I was relieved to realize that I recognized where I was standing in, hence I’d have had to start asking for help which would have been a little mortifying. I turned on my heels and was heading back to the wing I was placed in when I suddenly felt footsteps behind me, making me slow to a stop and whirl around. My eyes landed on the two guards who Damon previously introduced me to as my new personal guards. They bowed at me almost immediately and I felt taken aback.

"My lady, we’re here to escort you back to the north wing." They said at the same time and I frowned at them, wondering why they were treating me like royalty.

"There’s no need for that, I can find my way just fine." I tell them but they shook their heads firmly at the same time.

"Prince Damon ordered that we escort you to wherever here in this compound and not just till when we leave this palace." One of them explained this time and I frowned for a minute, wondering why I needed protection here in this palace. A part of me reminded me that he instructed them to do this most likely because so they’d be able to prevent me from fleeing no matter whenever I tried.

Irritation crashed through my mind but I reminded myself that this wasn’t the guards fault and that were were only ordering ko the orders told to them.

I looked between the two guards who looked nothing alike. One had a good looking face, an impressive height and a warm scent. The second one had a rugged look and a scare running down the dude of his face, he looked to be about six feet, and his scent was barely there, thst of a beta.

I rubbed my hands together and offered them a grin. "Alright then. Let’s go."

I turned back around and began to walk when one of them politely cleared their throat. "My lady, the north wing is in this direction." The voice spoke and I hummed.

"I’m well aware, however, I’d like to take a walk. Instead of returning bsck to my room
