Chapter 3: Shocking Discoveries
I didn’t know what to say to that, too stunned to speak.
My father actually wanted me to die on that mission? Is that it?
"Just go. You’ve brought the family shame once again, even though we tried avoiding that by sending you on that mission." My mother spoke this time, a pained expression on her face. When I glanced at my sister, she had on a twisted glare.
Chris looked disgusted when our eyes locked and I couldn’t believe i once believed we were destined to be together forever.
"Just get lost, because I’d never accept you back no matter what." Chris spat out and I wanted to laugh and cry at the same time.
"You’re a freak and I think it’s high time you start understanding how your presence unnerves the people of this pack." Mia, my younger sister said this time while turning towards the crowd who murmured in agreement with her.
As I turned around to leave, I had to use all my strength to keep my head high and hold my tears back.

I was currently making my way to the cell where the monster alpha was kept at per my command. I stood outside the cell, holding the metal bars while staring at his lounging form. For someone captured, he still seemed very unbothered.
That was starting to irk me.
After exiting the wedding venue, instead of going off to my bedroom to break down, I decided against doing that because that was only gonna make me seem more pathetic and that was something I wasn’t.
