Chapter 1: Betrayed
Sue’s pov
"I cannot get married to you anymore, Sue."
My fiancé and the love of my life, Chris suddenly blurted out after pulling away when I tried to kiss him.
"What?" I whispered, mouth hanging open as I slowly pulled away, my heartbeat starting to accelerate.
Chris shrugged almost carelessly before pocketing his hands.
"Don’t make this harder than it’s supposed to be, Sue. I just can’t. Turns out, you’re not what I need, nor can you give me what I want." He continued, lips thinned and I let out a choked sound, unable to believe my ears.
"You can’t be serious, Chris. Our wedding is in three days!" I cried out, watching as he shrugged again.
"That’s not a problem, because a wedding is still gonna be holding. I just won’t be getting married to you on that day." He continued and I blinked slowly, feeling beyond confused.
"What do you mean?"
