Astrid’s POV
My anxiety regarding this surprise was long gone and the only thing left was the buzz of the party. Kaeleen and I danced swaying to the music. The party was already over with people going to their homes. There were only a few invitees on the dance floor.
I noticed Yvonne giving me the thumbs up discreetly. I smiled at that. She held a sleeping Christian and she looked like she was already leaving. But Marcus followed closely.
Rebecca had roped us into a bet. And by us I mean Kaeleen, Alex, her, Serena and Shadow who had still not learnt his lesson. The bet was the duration before Yvonne and Marcus got together. She bet one month. Alex and Kaeleen bet it’ll be shorter than a month. I just followed Rebecca and bet one month’s Serena bet longer with Shadow. But from what I had seen at the party, the way she rolled her waist whenever she was walking past Marcus or the way she watched him quietly whenever he wasn’t looking, perhaps Alex and Kaeleen would win the bet after all because it was obvious those two were attracted to each other.
"Ready for one last present?" I asked Kaeleen with a whisper.
"From you?" He asked me.
"Yes," I led him by the hands towards the stairs. "Come with me."
"With pleasure."
I led Kaeleen past my room, going further towards his room. I had no idea if he noticed that we were going someplace else.
"Um, Astrid, are we going to my bedroom?" He asked me.
Yup, he noticed.
