Astrid’s POV
"So, what do you think about the pack?" Rebecca asked, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.
"This is... how much money do you guys make? This is huge," I said, my voice filled with awe.
Rebecca laughed, shaking her head. "Truthfully, a huge amount. I don’t know if Kaeleen has told you but most people in the pack are independent. They make money themselves and contribute to the pack one way or another and this is years of hard work also,not just one day."
"I know that but...damn! When Kaeleen described this place he never told me that it was like something straight out of a fairytale because that’s what this looks like. Everything is so majestic and beautiful. It all seemed well taken care of."
"That’s because it is. Like I said, everyone contributes." She told me.
This was so different from the Moonshade pack and the few people I’ve met weren’t even judgemental. They referred to me as their Luna and I wasn’t even the Luna yet at least officially and there was still the issue about the mating ritual. That has to be completed first before I could even take on the role of the Luna but these people didn’t seem to care.
"I think we should take a break," Rebecca said, interrupting my thoughts. "I’m starting to get tired, and I’m sure you are too."
"Yeah, I could use a rest," I admitted. "My head is still spinning from all the luxury."
Rebecca laughed, linking her arm through mine. "Let’s go back to the main building," she said. "We can grab something to eat, and then we can relax for a while."
