Chapter 6
Chapter 6
Astrid’s POV
Mary closed the distance between us. "Your insolence knows no bounds, does it?" she asked, her voice dripping with disdain.
The maids, who had been packing my things, stopped and watched us with interest. It was like a show for them. A chance to see the Luna, the woman they had once respected, brought down.
"This room belongs to me," I repeated, trying to keep my voice steady. "I’ve lived here for years. I’m not just going to leave."
And I still needed to clarify things with Leon. But I didn’t say it out loud.
"You don’t seem to understand," Mary said, her eyes narrowed. "You’re not the Luna anymore. Clara is. And she deserves the best room in the pack. Not only that, bug she serves the room that has always been designed for the Luna."
"But I earned this room," I argued, my voice rising. "I worked hard for this pack. I stood by Leon’s side. I deserve some respect."
"Respect?" Mary scoffed. "You lost that when you lost Leon. You’re nothing now. Just a shadow of your former self."
"I am your Luna." I whispered out.
She scoffed. "Keep telling yourself that. Leon doesn’t wnat you and your pathetic self still clings to him."
