Chapter 19: Date Gone Wrong
Dapper grinned from ear to ear at Elena’s words. He had already forgotten he promised her a date today.
’This... I can finally calm my raging boner!’
He lifted his head with a bright smile, making Elena’s heart thump like a drum. Dapper’s charming face was a weapon fashioned specifically to shatter her defenses—and it worked. She instantly lost all composure.
"Sure, we’re going on that date today, just like I promised," Dapper said.
Elena’s heart pounded so hard Dapper could practically hear the rhythm of it.
’He said yes... He finally said yes... this feels like a dream!.. I shouldn’t act like a fool. Blair’s advice actually worked. B-But, I’ve never had sex before...’
"T-Thank you," Elena muttered, her cheeks flaring red.
With a casual wink, Dapper slung his backpack over one shoulder and turned to Yavo and Lice, who had been standing nearby, their arms folded like disappointed dads.
"See you tomorrow, guys," Dapper added, just as Yavo’s voice cut through the air, stopping him.
"What the hell is wrong with you, Dapper? You don’t even hang out with us anymore! We agreed to game at Lice’s place today. Finals are literally tomorrow!" Yavo barked, his red spiky hair matching the frustration in his frown.
"Sigh... I’m sorry, guys. I promise we’ll play tomorrow. But I already promised Elena. Bro code," Dapper replied with a wink, before grabbing Elena’s hand and leading her out of the classroom.
