Chapter 81: Dangerous Confrontation
BAM!
Asher, who had somehow managed to sneak into the female restroom, pulled Maria into a cubicle and slammed her against the wall. "I want you to stop whatever it is you did to me, you—" He bit his lip in a desperate attempt to control the wild impulses his body was experiencing from being this close to her.
She smiled.
Damn, that only made it worse.
"I did nothing," she said innocently, then suddenly leaned forward and stole his lips in a kiss before he could react.
At that moment, his control shattered. His arms wrapped around her with desperate strength—if she’d been fragile, she would have snapped in half. He pressed his lips against hers as if his life depended on it, every rational thought dissolving into pure need. She moaned softly, which only drove him further over the edge. His hands roamed her body as he kissed her with reckless abandon.
Her arms began exploring his chest, fingers working at the buttons of his shirt.
"No!" He suddenly regained control and shoved her back against the wall. Her head hit the surface with a dull thud, but instead of a groan of pain, a breathless moan escaped her lips. She grinned, then took a deliberate breath.
"Damn it," he muttered, holding his head. He was falling into madness, and he couldn’t even understand why. What was the real reason for all this?
"Come on," she purred, biting her lip sensually. "We’re all alone in here... I can take the lead. You just have to relax." She licked her lower lip and moved closer.
He took a step back. I shouldn’t have come in here, he realized. He’d thought he could force her to fix this, but he’d forgotten the crucial fact: he was weaker than her. She was far more powerful, and worse—a masochist. Anything he did that might cause pain would only serve as some twisted reward.
I have to get out of here, he thought frantically, practically hearing his heartbeat thundering as she approached.
