REINCARNATION OF THE STRONGEST WAR HERO

Chapter 343 343: Death It Is

Min Chong's sword cut through the air, ready to strike Logan again.

Hueng Long and Feng Dao had finally snapped out of their shock and were rushing forward from behind Min Chong, trying to stop him. But they were too far behind.

"No!" Chianxu cried out in panic.

But Logan stood up straight, calm. He was only a Martial Saint. His opponent was a Martial Sovereign. Yet there was no fear in Logan's eyes.

Instead…

There was excitement. The new power awakening within him had stirred something deep inside — a curiosity.

A desire to see just how far this power could take him.

This power.

This destiny.

Why had it chosen him?

The distance between him and Min Chong vanished in an instant. But before the steel could meet the flesh....

"Stop."

Once more, the command rang out.

Just like before, Min Chong froze. His sword stopped mid-swing. The blade hovered only a hair's breadth away from Logan's throat.

"So determined to kill me, huh?" Logan said calmly. "Then don't blame me for returning the favor."

An ice sword materialized in Logan's right hand.

The next moment...

Schlk!

The blade pierced through Min Chong's chest. The tip slid past skin, through flesh, and straight into his heart. Frost spread rapidly along the wound as the freezing energy devoured the surrounding flesh.

Min Chong's eyes widened with fear and disbelief. "How… how did it come to this…" he whispered weakly.

Logan pushed the blade even deeper.

And then...

Silence.

Another Martial Sovereign…

Had fallen.

Feng Dao and Hueng Long stopped in their tracks.

Chianxu let out a breath she hadn't realized she had been holding.

The fight had come to a halt. Members of the Evil Spirit Families exchanged uneasy glances. Two more of their strongest cultivators had just fallen. Their earlier advantage in Martial Sovereigns had vanished. Now, both sides possessed the same number of Martial Sovereigns.

But that wasn't the most terrifying part. There was someone else standing on the opposing side now.

A boy.

Sixteen years old.

Under normal circumstances, such a fact would have been dismissed with scorn.

Yet that very boy had just sent two of their strongest members — two of the three family heads straight to death's door.

Tian Shin, the head of the Shin Family and the last surviving family head among the three Evil Spirit Families, stood in the middle of the battlefield.

"Damn it!" he cursed under his breath. "That bastard brought this upon himself. Not only did he get himself killed, but he also dragged all of us into this mess."

His anger was directed at Min Chong. The situation was painfully clear now. Even though they still had the advantage in numbers, and even though they had used their secret art — drinking their own blood to temporarily boost their strength — they were not far ahead of the spirit family cultivators to begin with.

And now…

That advantage had disappeared completely.

The power gained from the blood-drinking technique was already beginning to fade, slowly draining away with every passing moment.

Worse still, Logan now possessed abilities none of them had ever heard of.

'A power that can command others with a single word…' Tian thought. 'And the ability to manipulate objects from afar. Both are terrifying. What should I do now?' Tian Shin wondered, his thoughts spiraling. 'Peace is no longer an option. We had not merely tried to suppress Logan. Min Chong had tried to control him. And worse… we had slaughtered many members of the spirit families. There is no turning back from that. Are we really going to die here… just like this?'

For the first time since the battle began, Tian Shin felt true panic clawing at his heart. His mind teetered on the edge of collapse. He didn't want to die. But no matter how desperately he searched for one… He could not see a path out of this situation.

Logan walked toward Hueng Long and Feng Dao.

"Young Master."

"Young Master."

Both men bowed respectfully.

"Please, don't do that," Logan said hurriedly, stepping forward to help them straighten up. "You are both far too senior to act like this in front of me."

Hueng Long shook his head. "It is not age that determines who deserves respect," he said calmly. "It is one's achievements — the footprints of glory they leave behind."

"You are being too polite," Logan replied with a helpless smile.

"By the way, congratulations, Young Master, on awakening the Golden Dragon's legacy," Hueng Long added.

"Yes. Congratulations, Young Master," Feng Dao echoed.

Logan shook his head slightly. "It's all thanks to you. If you hadn't given me the blood essence, I would never have gained such power. I will always be in your debt."

Hueng Long waved his hand dismissively. "That is not the case, Young Master. We did not give you anything. We merely returned the essence to the one it truly belonged to."

Logan sighed inwardly. 'No matter what I say, they won't budge. So be it,' he thought.

His gaze then shifted toward the battlefield, where the remaining enemies still stood frozen.

"By the way…" Logan said calmly. "What about them?" His eyes swept across the members of the Evil Spirit Families. "Do you want all of them dead?"

Suddenly, both of them felt a chill run down their spines. The killing intent emanating from Logan was suffocating. Yet it wasn't even directed at them.

Feng Dao opened his mouth to speak.

"Well… they… I…" But the words refused to come out.

He was a man in his seventies, a veteran who had faced countless life-or-death situations. Yet standing before a boy not even half his age, he felt strangely helpless.

Hueng Long, however, managed to steady himself. "That would be for the best, Young Master," he said firmly. "They have already strayed from the path of righteousness. For their own benefit, they would not hesitate to harm others. Allowing them to leave would only be inviting disaster upon ourselves."

Logan nodded slightly. "Alright," he said calmly. "Death it is, then."

With that, he turned toward the battlefield.

His aura began to flare.
