Chapter 81: JOURNEY TOWARD THE TRUTH
Rowan was both impressed and shocked.
Impressed by how precisely Logan calculated every move—revealing only what was necessary, never an ounce more.
And shocked... by the sheer skill and insight displayed by a boy who was only twelve.
His thoughts were spinning, trying to make sense of what he’d just heard, when Logan’s voice snapped him back to the present.
"Now tell me more about what you know. Every detail."
Rowan blinked, gathering his thoughts. "The thing is... I’ve already told you most of what I know during our journey. There may be more hidden details in these books, but it’s hard for me to decipher everything in a short time. Some of the languages are ancient or altered. But you—"
He pointed at Logan, eyes narrowing with curiosity.
"You could read through that book you were staring at earlier. That means you understand the language. I assume it’s related to how you got your body strengthening technique. So I won’t ask how. That’s your secret. But when it comes to uncovering the truth... I think you are better suited than I’ll ever be."
Logan remained silent, relieved Rowan hadn’t pressed further. The prince was sharp, but respectful.
Rowan continued, "If you’re willing, I’ll select a few key books to start. You can read them yourself, and I’m sure you’ll uncover more about what we both want to know. What do you think?"
Logan gave a small nod. "That makes sense. But there’s a problem... I need to go back soon. My parents will be worried. Especially my mother. I’ve never been away this long."
