Chapter 82: A few new changes.
A few days later...
After he had gotten rid of the Red Vipers, Sylus decided to take the mansion that once belonged to Count Eric and make it his own.
At first, he threw Eric’s wife in jail for directly supporting her husband in his bad leadership, and then he began throwing out the unwanted stuff in the mansion, which included their clothes and personal belongings.
With that done, Sylus renovated the entire place—although Alfred did most of the work.
In fact, Alfred had taken his place as the headmaster among the workers, and many of them had already begun to respect him. That alone made Sylus reconsider Alfred’s position in the new territory.
That said, Sylus knew if he was going to improve the city in any way, he needed to get rid of the bad eggs, and so, he called forth the nobles under Linye City.
Inside the room, Sylus stood at the very front, on a red chair with golden arms and a soft, foamy surface for him to sit on.
Behind him were Zani and Sophia, both of whom were intimidating to say the least.
All the way down, starting from Sylus’s position, were rows of chairs, each facing each other in a way that made it easy to see the faces of every single person in the room.
At the center, a long table, not too close and not too far as well.
On the table was a map of the city, along with a crystal red ball Sylus had placed there prior to the meeting.
