After hearing what her son said, Elizabeth smiled.
"I can see you’ve made up your mind already."
"Are you disappointed?" Sylus asked.
Elizabeth didn’t give a quick response; instead, she pulled Sylus closer and gave him a warm hug.
Perhaps she wanted to cry and was just trying to hide her face. But throughout the hug, she never said a single thing.
Not until she pulled away, the smile still etched on her face.
"I could never be disappointed in you, my son. Please, do as you will. As long as you ask me for help every once in a while, I’ll be fine."
Sylus smiled back at her.
"I’ll do that."
"Good. While you’re at it, find a good wife to marry. I don’t care if it’s even Zani."
’There she goes again.’ Sylus turned his gaze to the side while his mother continued ranting about how Zani would be the perfect wife.
