The purr of the engine echoed in the underground parking lot as Charles stepped out of the matte-black Audi RS7—the same one he’d paid for in cash this morning.
His sneakers hit the floor with a quiet confidence, no longer ragged from wear. He was clean-shaven, in a tailored navy shirt and minimalist silver watch. The kind of look that screamed wealth without saying a word.
People turned to stare as he entered the hotel lobby.
Even the receptionist, who once barely looked up when he delivered food, straightened at attention.
