The Royal Revenge

Chapter 231: Teacher

Elys knew what a corrupted person looked it. The woman that taught her magic had been one for a very long time – well, at least for as long as she had lived.

Her name had been unknown to the Northern Princess back in the day, for she only allowed the little princess to call her as Teacher and told her not a letter to her real name.

Teacher lived in a small hut just south west of the Northern Kingdom. The King Alaric had been trying to convince the woman for quite a while to learn her tricks, but she wouldn’t even let him near her even just a meter from her doors.

As Elys had learned from her father’s explanation, Teacher had been adamant that she doesn’t like kings at all. One day, the Northern King came upon Teacher humming a little children’s rhyme, caressing what looked like a blanket she had wrapped around her shoulders.

It looked like that of a baby’s, and King Alaric suddenly had an epiphany.

The next day, the Northern King brought with him his precious daughter, merely just four years old. Her big round eyes were something to behold, looking up at the woman with a lot of sadness in her eyes.

"What are you doing?" Teacher had said.

"I brought my daughter," King Alaric curtly said, "she is my precious little one. And if you hate me so much for being a king, then perhaps you would rather teach a princess who would someday be queen of her people?"

Teacher’s brows arched upwards, and a sarcastic laugh echoed soon after. She looked at King Alaric, and then on little Elysianne and her big red eyes.

The princess looked at the Teacher not with wide-eyes like other children who might get afraid of a woman with several hundreds of boils on her face and body. The princess looked at the Teacher with confidence and not a single blink in her eye said she was afraid.

Little Princess Elysianne Whitecaster was calm.
