Chapter 226: Draining My Energy**
Katelina wriggled in his grasp, but her playful protests quickly turned into soft giggles. She looked up at him, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "I guess you did," she said, wrapping her arms around his neck.
Ezekiel’s gaze softened, and he leaned in, capturing her lips in a tender kiss. The kiss deepened, becoming more passionate as they clung to each other in the water. Katelina’s fingers threaded through his hair, pulling him closer as their bodies pressed together.
With a smooth motion, Ezekiel lifted her up, her legs instinctively wrapping around his waist. They moved towards the shallow part of the pool, where the water was just deep enough to support them. He broke the kiss, looking into her eyes with a mix of desire and love.
"You’re beautiful," he whispered, his hands trailing down her back, sending shivers through her. "And you’re amazing," she replied, her voice breathless.
She meant those words. Ezekiel could feel her emotions anyway, so she decided to put all her inhibitions aside when it came to him. He was now her man and husband. She needed to work on their relationship and make things work.
The best foundation for a relationship, as her mother had taught her, was commitment. And how would she show it? By having good communication with him and not letting misunderstandings ruin their bond.
With that thought in mind, Katelina snuggled closer to Ezekiel, feeling the warmth of his embrace. The water around them was cool, but his body heat kept her warm. She looked up at him and Ezekiel kissed her again.
His lips moved from her mouth to her jaw, and then down to her neck. She moaned softly, tilting her head back to give him better access. His hands roamed over her body, caressing her skin through the thin fabric of her chemise.
Their breathing grew heavier, the water around them rippling with their movements. Katelina’s hands explored Ezekiel’s muscular chest, feeling the heat of his skin even in the cool water. She could feel his arousal pressing against her, and it ignited a fire within her.
