"My Lord, a golden dragon has been seen flying in the sky!" one of Devon’s sorcerers reported to him while he was inside Sibil’s quarters to check on him.
Hearing the news, Devon cursed as he then handed the journal to Sibil who was still on the bed recuperating.
"Such news will be dealt with later. In the meantime, that arm I attached to you should be sufficient enough for you to get back to work in a few days. You just need to tolerate the pain whenever you use it," he stated. "For now, study that journal and make sure you’re ready to extract the dragon’s power whenever I call for you."
"Yes, Master," Sibil answered.
With his work done, Devon left and went straight to the throne hall. Once he arrived, he sat on his throne, and right then bad reports started coming to him.
"Valcrez’s reinforcements defeated our war fleets stationed at the northeast of Ebodia’s boundaries."
"Call for Zoran!" he commanded.
A soldier quickly tried to follow his orders, but he came back empty handed after a short while. "My Lord, warlock Zoran was not in his quarters."
Devon’s face fell as he quickly contacted Zoran through his bond with him. [Zoran...]
