Chapter 347: I’m Ready
Boris’s eyes widened at Lyne’s bold request. He didn’t think that she would request such a thing right then and there, in her own room no less. Still, he could already feel his inner wolf howl in approval, his instincts screaming at him to take her as her own. His blood boiled with anticipation, her scent starting to make him go crazy just with the prospect of hearing her approval.
And yet...
"A-Are you sure?" Boris forced himself to ask, a part of him telling him that he should at least ask her such a question.
"Yes," Lyne nodded, the fire in her eyes seemingly glowing brighter as she looked at him with determination. "I want this. I want to be with you. I’m ready to surrender myself, my all to you, my body, and all that I have."
Again, her words sent him on edge, his feet moving forward to close the gap between him and his mate. Sitting down beside her, he felt her flinch before she visibly reigned herself in. It was clear that she was uncomfortable, but she was still giving him consent, right?
Werewolves had no marriage ceremony at all. Completing the Mate Bond was already as sacred as a marriage ceremony to them where they made love to their mate and marked them. They only usually did marriage registrations for legal purposes just to serve as a disguise for their human citizenship for the country they were living in.
"If you insist, Lyne," Boris nodded, barely managing to compose himself as he raised his hand to caress her cheek. He felt like he was dreaming. Everything hadn’t sunk in well with him yet.
But it was real, right? Oh heavens! How long had he been waiting for this moment, and right now, he was acting like a fool. He should be pouncing at her right now and stopping leaving room for Lyne to hesitate. So why was he suddenly so stiff?
"Just tell me if you want to stop, okay?" he murmured, suddenly feeling nervous. He shouldn’t be, right? He had waited for this for so long for him to feel all these weird emotions right now.
