The Untamed: Game of Hearts

Chapter 320: The Evidence

Tomorrow swiftly came, and Nathan was more than ready to put all of this work behind him as soon as Danos was nothing more but a stain beneath his shoes. Truly, the resumption of Boris’s hearing couldn’t come soon enough. Raine was still ignoring his calls, and the only way he could think of that would let him apologize properly was to go to her location himself.

"Is everything ready?" he impatiently asked as he tapped his foot on the floor, his suit pressed and ready as he stood beside Boris. "I can only assume that you all have put the evidence to good use."

"We have, my King," one of Boris’s lawyers nodded. "We’ll make sure that I and my team will have him right where we want him."

Nathan simply nodded in satisfaction. He could only trust their team to do what they did best now.

"Seriously, we already have him by the balls," Boris groaned. "Why can’t we just kill him right here and now?"

"Boris, we can’t do that," Aspen sighed. "We have to at least expose him in front of the judge first before we can kill him. And even then, we really shouldn’t."

Nathan nodded in agreement. While he knew that it was well within Boris’s rights to just rip Danos’s head to shreds right here and now, the law didn’t work that way. There were still rules that needed to be followed. Only then would they actually be justified to kill him where he stood.

"Listen to your friend here," one of Boris’s lawyers chuckled. "You’re basically a free man now. We can’t have you screwing that up by you acting unruly."

Boris grunted in disappointment. Meanwhile, Nathan could already hear Davin chuckling from the stands. He really didn’t need to be a part of the defense team now, but a part of him wanted to sit down right in the thick of it. Somehow, Nathan felt that something bad was about to happen in this trial.
